The story of schülke began in Hamburg more than 130 years ago. In April 1889, the merchants Rudolf Schülke and Julius Mayr met in a comptoir in downtown Hamburg to sign a contract that laid the foundation for the specialist company Schülke & Mayr.

In the decades that followed, schülke developed and produced numerous well-known brands and products. Since its foundation, schülke has developed from a Hanseatic specialist company for disinfectants into an internationally operating company and is now one of the market leaders in the areas of infection prevention, hygiene and preservation.
